Emeritus (1947–2018)
John Perry was a retired Wyoming cattle rancher and former lyricist for the Grateful Dead. In 1990 he and Mitch Kapor founded the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), an organization that fights for the rights of citizens in the digital world. He served as its Vice Chairman. Starting in 1998, he was a fellow at Harvard Law School's Berkman Center for Internet and Society.
