The success of Climate Feedback demonstrates the potential of annotation communities. Using Hypothesis, a group of over 200 of the world’s top climate scientists annotate climate news, highlighting inaccuracies and contextual issues, and also publish findings, assessing the science behind specific news reports.

News outlets have begun to issue corrections to articles in response and their efforts have generated substantial press, like this piece in the NY Times.
